  • 1  Climate Change in China and its Influence on Potential Crop Productivity during the last 40 Years

    Abstract:
    Using the meteorological data set in 1951-1990 over 160 stations,prepared by NMC in Beijing, a series of 10 - year running mean curves of both the yearly and monthly temperature and total precipitation over the country are obtained and analyzed. Then climate change in China and its regional and seasonal characteristics are discussed in some extent. The annual potential crop productivity at each station and then in each climate region as well as the country as a whole are calculated. Based on these calculations, the influence of climate change on the potential crop productivity is discussed preliminarily.

    Abstract:
    In year, The observation of 10 sorts of corn hybrids with different maturing dates called early, medium and late corns and with their different leaf angles such as erectophile and planophile have been taken in Beijing, Yanqing County (Beijing area), Taian (Shandong Province) , GongZhuling (Jilin Province) and Shihezi(Xinjiang Aitononous Region), Based on the data obtained from the observations,a normal growing function was derived on the princplie laws of th accumulated dry matterW=[1+e8.56-13.52μ)<.sup>]-1In accordance with the function, the authors built up a model of the potentiol maximum biomass dependent on the accumulated temperature. Bmax/kg·-1=100+1.1∑Tm. The model was applied to estimate the potential corn yield of the hybrids different maturing and the results in assessing the impact of climatic change are discussed.

    Abstract:
    LOWTRAN 6 has been used in calculating the transmittances, radiances , and weighting-functions of the two channels. 5.7-7.1μm and 6.5-7.6μm. With the results from analysis, the possibility for lowering the sounding level of water vapor is discussed.
