    Abstract:
    In this paper, the status on development and application of microcomputers in the meteorological agencies is presented with the achievements and problems . It is noted that the microcomputer has become one of most important tools in support to the modernization of the Chinese meteorological sciences. And further efforts are required to be made in application of microcomputer in the future.

    Abstract:
    The monthly mean OLR data arc used to analyse the varying laws of the global subtropical high and equatorial ITCZ. The pcrsistense and anomalous features in the heavy flood years over the Changjiang valley is investigated. It is shown that much closer attention to the anomalous clistribution of the global subtropical high in November-Feburary and the intensity of the cumutus in south to the equatorial ITCZ over the low-lafitute oceans in March -June wouldlay a sound foundation to heavy flood forecasting,

    Abstract:
    In this paper, the thermodynamic heterogeneity of underlying surface in Jiangsu Province and its effects are preliminarily analysed . The results show that the thermodynamic heterogeneity caused by sea breeze front, larger water body and various soils launches some effects and influence on severe covective weathers, including hail and so on.
