    王绍武

    Abstract:
The recent progress in the studies were reviewed on the following problems concerned the greenhouse effect:the estimation of greenhouse gases and their impacts on the climate, global warming of climate and detection of greenhouse effect. The uncertainties in the studies were emphasized. The problems that should be urgently investigated were outlined.

    Abstract:
A limited-ared fine-mesh 6-level model is used in this paper to simulate the explosively developing process of a East Asian coastal cyclone in March,1979.A control and four coritrastive 24h numerical experiments have been done to investigate the influence of different physical factors on the explosive development of the cyclone. The results show that baroclinic instability is the major mechanism for growth of the cyclone and condensative latent heat also plays an important role in its enhancing development. The surface friction makes the cyclone weakened and surface fluxes of sensible and latent hea.t have a slight impact on the development of the cyclone.
3  Climatic trend in China for the last 40 years

    Abstract:
In the paper, the annually mean temperature and rainfall at 160 stations in China from 1951 to 1989 are calculated climatically with a linear trend equation. In the period, the annually mean temperature of the whole country were arising at a rate of 0.04℃/10-year.The maximum value of warming occured in North China and Northeast China, but annually mean temperatures in the Changjiang River Valley and Southwest China appeared with a continuous drop. In respect of climatology jthe annual rainfall of the whole country was decreasing, at a rate-of -12.66mm/10-year.Except for some areas in Hubei and Sichuan Provinces, the precipi-tation decreases. The droughtization and desertization caused by rainfall-decreasing have become two vital climatic problems in China.
4  The case experiment on objective analysis of meso-scale weather with satellite data
    孙东联 黄继红

    Abstract:
The successive correction method (SCM) of Cressman is adopted in objective analysis for 500 hPa and 700hPa height field, using the conventional data,or satellite data,or conventional data accompanied by satellite data. It shows that the analysis field using the conventional data is very similar to the real weather map, while the satellite data can reveal some small disturbances which can not be found in weather map but in satellite image,it indicates that the satellite data has the positive impact onto the meso-scale objective analysis.
