  • 1  Effects of climatic change on ecosystem and agriculture
    丁一汇

    Abstract:
The climatic change during the last 100-yr has been described briefly on the glolal basis as wall as in China for the first time .Then the methods for study on the effects of climatic change on ecosystem and agricultured production have been discussed.
2  The symmetric motion and antisymmetric motion of stratospheric lower level in the equatorial area——data analysis
    杨云峰
    1989, 15(5):10-15. DOI: 10.7519/j.issn.1000-0526.1989.5.002

    Abstract:
Based, on analysis of FGGEⅢb Data, the symmetric motion andantisymmetric motion have been discussed. It is found that the two types of the motion have their significant season variance. From the variance, we can conveniently reveal the variation of the meridional cell. Meanwhile, both the symmetric motion and antisymmetric motion possess wave characteristic.
3  The micro-structure of rain shower over Guang Zhou area in June of 1984

    Abstract:
In this paper, the drop-size distribution of shower in Guangzhou has been analyzed. The results show that Type 3 spectra appeared with highest frequency and no Type 1 in that area. The average size is larger. The maximum diameter of drops can reach up to 0.5mm . The outstanding features are that the minimum diameter of drops is too large, and there are fc\v small drops but much more larger ones .As a re suit , it is imperfect to describe the spectra with an exponential function. Inaddition, the results reveal the areal difference of W-I relationship is much smaller than that of Z-I relationship. In Guangzhou area, W-I and Z-I relationship of shower are expressed respectively asZ=34511.39W=0.056910.88
4  A preliminary study of the vertical static energy profiles over the equatorial Singapore region

    Abstract:
This paper examines the. usefulness of static energy analysis in the deep-eonvective equatorial Singapore region. Singapore upper air data have been used to study the vertical profiles of energy for 1984 and 1985. Some preliminary results are:(1) Most of the atmospheric stratification over the equatorial Singapore region is found to be associated with the- latent instability energy.(2) The 12 hours' weather forecasting over Singapore can be issued according to the extent, of latent instability energy.(3)The average energy level and latent energy over Singapore vary with seasons, The maxima occurred during transitional periods and minima during SW and early RE monsoon.
    5  Southern Oscillation Index, 1857-1897
    石伟 王绍武
    1989, 15(5):29-33. DOI: 10.7519/j.issn.1000-0526.1989.05.005

    Abstract:
The series of the Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) published by US CAC is extended from 1935 back to 1857 using the sea level pressure differences belween Tahiti and Darwin. The periodicities-of SOI and,its -relationship to the SST are examined.
