    Abstract:
The charaters of spatial-temporal variation of the polar ice are analysed using the Antarctic ice coverage area data of 1973-1982. A spectralanalysis has been made to determine the changes of the polar ice in the increasing and melting processes. It is shown that there exists a main os-ciallation in a period of 8.2 weeks in these processes for the total polar ice.The maximum rate of polar ice increasing and melting occurred res-spectively between May and June as well as November and December (in the Northern Hemisphere).Al the same Lime, it is found that the variation of the Antarctic ice coverage exerted a significant impact on the positional variations of the ridge line of the subtropical high over the northwest Pacific and of the tropical cyclones landing China.

    Abstract:
A AC and PA are two kind of organic compounds. Acetyl Acetone Copper and Phthalic Anhydride. They were chosen among over thirty kinds of organic compounds based on the experiments on their performance in ice nucleation via a cold chamber at Beijing University. They are approved by the expert concerned in Wuhan, in April of 1984.A comprehensive decriplion is given here on AAC and PA, including their performance in ice nucleation, physical and chemical property,poiso-onusness,price.the materials from which they are made and the method the by which the particles are generated as well as several experiments in the field.

    Abstract:
The distributions of monthly mean apparent temperature in winter (Dec.-Feb.)in China and its relationship with the amount of clothing in keeping warm for people are discussed here, based on the concept of thermal equilibrium in human body as well as on the theory on apparent temperature intiated by the famous American bio-meteor otogist, R. G. Steadman.

    Abstract:
It is the most common method to use radar reflectivity factor in quantitatively measuring rainfall amount. Based on the calculations of data of 4618 ground raindrop spectra collected from 7 observation stations over Ningxia plain during June to September in 1983, Z-I relationships in different types of rain in this region have been obtained. In addition, the effect of quantitative measuerment of precipitation with these relationships in this region is tested, and the mean relative error is about 30%.
