    王守慧
    1988, 14(10):3-5. DOI: 10.7519/j.issn.1000-0526.1988.10.001
    [Abstract](633) [HTML](0) [PDF 332.42 K](1096)
    Abstract:
Here is the general picture of FY-i which is the first meteorological satellite launched by China. The types and capabilities of the satellite-bone remote sensing instruments, as well as the varieties and transmission modes of its data are briefly described.
2  Introduction to FY-1 Meteorological Satellite data receiving and processing system
    范天锡
    1988, 14(10):6-9. DOI: 10.7519/j.issn.1000-0526.1988.10.002

    Abstract:
This report gives a description of FY-1 Meteorological Satellite data receiving and processing system, which is composed of three ground stations situated in Bejing, Guangzhou, Urumqi and a data processing center settled within Satellite Meteorological Centre of the State Meteorological Administration. The design of this system is directed toward FY-1 polar meteorological satellite and compati-ble with NOAA and GMS satellites.
3  The main products and their distribution of FY-1 Meteorological Satellite
    方宗义
    1988, 14(10):10-13. DOI: 10.7519/j.issn.1000-0526.1988.10.003
    [Abstract](643) [HTML](0) [PDF 388.00 K](1167)
    Abstract:
The main products derived and reduced from the raw data of FY-1 Meteorological Satellite by the processing system of the Satellite Meteorological Centre and their processing, and analysing methods are summarily given in this paper. They are imagery products, digital and map products, and analysis and special service products. The way for the distribution of the products is also explained.
4  An analysis on digitized radar echoes of a continuous heavy rain process
    徐双柱
    1988, 14(10):14-18. DOI: 10.7519/j.issn.1000-0526.1988.10.004
    [Abstract](735) [HTML](0) [PDF 468.05 K](1197)
    Abstract:
In this paper, a continuous heavy rain process, which occurred over the middle reaches of Changjiang River between 18-21, August, 1987, is analysed using Column Maximum Pictures of WSR-81S digital radar data in Wuhan City. It is divided into two stages: local heavy rain and areal heavy rain. Their features during the initial and developing periods are discribed and the reasons are discussed.
5  Some Improvements and applications of the plane source computational model
    刘海月
    1988, 14(10):19-21. DOI: 10.7519/j.issn.1000-0526.1988.10.005
    [Abstract](659) [HTML](0) [PDF 375.24 K](1165)
    Abstract:
This paper presents the improvement of the ATDL model with the height of plane source. Plane source computational area has been determined according to the meteorological definition of wind angle, in order to make the selective meaning of the computational area clear. The author has calculated the quality of the atmospheric environment of Tangshan City using the improved model and find that the results is basically conformed to reality. The data deviation is with in the limits of two times, and the correlation coefficient is above 0.70.
6  A elementary results of retrieving atmospheric moisture profiles from NOAA-9 .satellite data
    张凤英 董超华
    1988, 14(10):22-24. DOI: 10.7519/j.issn.1000-0526.1988.10.006
    [Abstract](714) [HTML](0) [PDF 254.00 K](1155)
    Abstract:
This paper presents the method of retrieving moisture profiles from NOAA. series satellite vertical sounder (TOVS)data and shows the resulus obtained from NOAA-9 TOVS data using the algorithm of eigenvectors of statistcal covariance matrices. Comparisons of the results with radiosonde data show that retrieved, moisture profiles basically agree with radiosonde data.
