    Abstract:
Based on the data of the investigation through the 8th to 14th of February, 1986, the atmospheric energy budget in a polygon area of the West Pacific Ocean (140-160°E, 18°S-14°N) has been calculated. It is shown that the total energy budget transports from outside toward inside of the polygon area. Among the all boundaries, however, the energy transfer only in the north- eastern boundary could display in opposite phase. Meanwhile, the major energy transfer would be by mean transfer rather than by disturbance. This study has also point out that there was the obvious warming-atmosphere phenomenon over the area during the investigation periods

    Abstract:
This paper has analysed the characteristics of low frequency oscillation of cloudiness in the tropical area (90°E-170°W.) during the period of May 1978-Dec. 1984, using GMS 5-day mean cloudiness data. The main results are:1. There are two kinds of oscillation in the Indian ocean and western Pacific oceans. One is the 30 to 60 day mode. The other kind, is in a cycle of 2 to 4 years, named very low-frequency oscillation.2.During the non-El .Nifio years, the 30 to 60 day mode is more clear. But.its propagation is depressed during the El Nino year. .3.The 2 to 4 years mode is mainly associated with the El Nino phenomenon.
3  The summer precipitation features and its cause during early 1980's in China
    陈兴芳 陈国珍
    1987, 13(4):12-16. DOI: 10.7519/j.issn.1000-0526.1987.04.003

    Abstract:
During early 1980's, the main characteristics of summer rainfall distribution in the east part of China were: abundary in the central part, and less in the south and north.Main rain belts fluctuated between the reaches of Changjiang an:J Huai-he River, Hanjiang and Weihe River. In this period, west Pacific subtropic high was stronger, its position tended to west and to south.
4  A comparision between wind measurements by balloons
    廖仿玉
    1987, 13(4):17-21. DOI: 10.7519/j.issn.1000-0526.1987.4.004
    [Abstract](563) [HTML](0) [PDF 470.35 K](903)
    Abstract:
Compared with the upper winds measured by 20* balloon, most of the upper winds measured by 120* balloon are. found to lag behind in height deviation (phase deviation). The height deviation varies from 50m to 500m, most of them from 100m to 300m. Some reasons of the height deviation caused by balloons are discussed.
5  The relations between acid rain and meteorological conditions in Hangzhou City
    吴芝芳 李柱国 华瑶芳
    1987, 13(4):22-24. DOI: 10.7519/j.issn.1000-0526.1987.4.005
    [Abstract](625) [HTML](0) [PDF 378.05 K](882)
    Abstract:
Based on the observation data, the relations between acid rain and meteorological conditions were analysed, ,it shows that the intensity and frequency of acid rains and their .seasonal variation relates to inversion, wind speed, turbulence and diffusion conditions etc.
6  The designing of rainfall network
    崔伟强

    Abstract:
The statistical analyses of daily precipitation data in Jianghan Plain from 1961 to 1985 show that the optimum distance between precipitation stations is 30km in this area.
