Abstract:
With the NCEP reanalysis data, the cumulus convect ive latent heating and the sea surface sensible heat flux in the cours e of the development of Typhoon FungWong are analyzed. It shows that through t he airsea interaction, the sensible heat release strengthened the sea surface wind and tropospheric vor ticity, which may be the possible cause for the initial low pressure of typhoon; the cumulus convective latent heat not only heated the center of typhoon but al so reinforced the ascending motion at middle levels, thereby made it increase a nd develop. The convective condensation latent heat is considered to be the majo r thermal and dynamic factor for the development of Typhoon Fungwong.
