There was a very obvious high temperature phenomenon in North China in the summer of 1997. Its characteristics and temporal spatial distribution of high temperature in that summer were analyzed. Besides,contrasted analysis with historical data and the relationship with El Nio were also discussed in order to understand the feature of high tempreature in the summer of 1997 in detail.
