The 500hpa height and circulation characteristic value of 48-144 hours forecasting byECMWF fO.r old model- T₁₀₆L₁₉ in 1991 and new model- T₂₁₃L₃₁ in 1991 - 1993 duringJune-August have been verified. The results show that after model renewal the prediction natures was instable in Summer,esl.pcially in Asia. The forecast made by the new model was generally better than the old model for the westerly belt .and was worse for the subtropical belt.
