    Abstract:

    This paper studies the principle and quantitative method of interpretation on thermal resources on subtropic hilly region in northern Fujian, China using the thermal IR data of LANDSAT Thematic Mapper Sensors in December 26th, 1984 daytime and in October 29th, 1985 night. The significance on climate of remote sensing instantaneous meteorological value is analysed. By the results, when all seasonal remote sensig data is available, the method of interpretation on local thermal resources is feasible.
