Abstract:Four methods for retrieving two-dimensional wind from single-Doppler radar data were introducted,they are the VAP method,rotation-divergence method,simple adjoint method,and the PAR method.Three experiments were conducted using simulated single-Doppler radar data to compare the methods.It is shown that different methods have different results.The root-mean-square errors of the tangential velocity and angle also support the main results.
