Abstract:Based on the historical data from 72 meteorological stations located in the west and middle parts of Inner Mongolia,Northern China,some climatic characteristics of black storm in this area were studied,including the regional distribution,the daily,decadely,seasonally annually and decadely variations of its frequency and intensity. The formation of these characteristics was also discussed. At last ,it is concluded that the west and middle parts of Inner Mongolia are vulnerable to black storm and suffer loss frequently. The strongest center is the Zhurihe station which is located in the middle part of Inner Mongolia. The time variation of black storm is very notable and its intensity varies greatly
