Abstract:The GMS cloud chart of the regional heavy torrential rain in Jiangsu Province at pre-flood season from 1980 to 1990 was analysed. The causes of torrential rain,its cloud features and the evolution were revealed,and the feature classification was made. The forecast point was presented.
