Abstract:The diagnoses of vorticity and energy of severe tropical storm 9216,which landed on China,moved northward and caused the heavy disaster in Shandong Province,are made.The resultsshow that the tropical storm always moved along the positive vorcity center and high energy axis,the heavy rain cores lay near the tip of high energy tongue,and near the centre of positive vortici-ty.
