Abstract:With the three-dimensional wind fields and calculation on the path of an air parcel,the floating-dust shift caused by a sandstorm was tracked in opposite direction. The position of the floating-dust source and its three-dimensional path are determined. The result is consistent with the weather reports. It could be applied practically in determining the source of pollutants in the atmosphere.
