Abstract:An extensive review of the progress made in ihe research aspect o meteorology in China for the last. 40 years is presutiled.lt covers the eight topics as follows, the meteorological observation,artificial weather modification, atmospheric physics and chemistry, general circulation and its numerical simulation, monsoon in East Asia and large-scale dynamics in tropics,meso-scale meteorology, climatic change, applied meteorology and agrometeorology.
